What you get
Everything below is in both plans. Nothing to configure on your servers: add a URL, DurianStatus does the checking.
A public status page
Your name, description, website link and brand colour. One clear banner on top: all systems operational, or what isn't.
Components
Website, API, app, emails: list what your customers rely on, each with its own status, from operational to major outage.
Incidents and maintenance
Open an incident, post updates as you go, resolve it. Schedule maintenance ahead of time. Everything shows as a timeline.
Uptime checks every 5 minutes
An HTTP GET or HEAD on the URL you choose, with a 10-second timeout.
Automatic incidents
After 3 failed checks in a row, DurianStatus opens an incident for you, so the page stays honest while you fix things.
90 days of uptime history
One bar per day per monitored component, with the uptime percentage. The last 14 days of incidents stay on the page.
Email subscribers
Visitors subscribe with their email and confirm it (double opt-in). They hear about new incidents, updates and resolutions, and can unsubscribe in one click.
Badge, widget and JSON
A README badge, a small status widget for your site or app, and a public JSON endpoint.
Put your status everywhere
One line of HTML on your site, one line of Markdown in your README. Both shown here with the sample page.
Status widget
<div data-durianstatus="your-page" data-theme="light"></div> <script src="…/embed.js" async></script>
README badge

Green when everything is up, then yellow, orange or red with the worst component.

Sources, checked 2026-10-04: https://www.atlassian.com/software/statuspage/pricing, https://instatus.com/pricing (paid plan prices were not shown on the page that day, so we don't quote one). Both have free plans with limits, and both do things DurianStatus doesn't, such as custom domains, team members and SMS or Slack notifications. If you need those, they are the better pick.

Why trust a one-time price?
DurianStatus is made by Martin, a solo founder, at F*ckSubscription, which only sells pay-once software (#3 Product of the Day on Product Hunt, Jan 2025). Our revenue is public at fcksubscription.com/open.
Questions
What does one-time mean?
You pay once and use DurianStatus for as long as we operate it, with updates. If we ever shut it down, you get 30 days' notice and an export of your data.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 14 days of purchase. Email martin@fcksubscription.com.
How do the uptime checks work?
Every 5 minutes, from one location, DurianStatus requests the URL of each monitor (GET or HEAD, 10-second timeout). After 3 failures in a row it opens an incident. Checks come from a single location, so a network problem between us and your server can look like downtime: you can always edit or resolve an incident by hand.
What are the limits?
Solo: 1 status page, 5 monitors, 500 email subscribers. Pro: unlimited status pages, 25 monitors in total and 2,000 email subscribers.
Will my subscribers get spammed if a check flaps?
No. A page sends at most 12 notification emails a day, and an incident needs 3 failed checks in a row.
Can I use my own domain?
Not in this version. Your page lives at /s/your-name on the DurianStatus site, and you can link to it from status.yourdomain.com with a redirect.
What isn't included?
SMS, Slack or webhook notifications, team members, private pages and checks from several regions. If you need those, Statuspage or Instatus are the better pick.
Stop renting your status page.
Set up your page and your first monitor right after checkout.
